David G. Garcia, born in Asherton, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday October 28, 2017 at the age of 88. He is survived by his children, David Garcia, Jr.; Linda G. Santos; Velma Willborn and husband Frank; Mary Lou Avila and husband Robert; his sisters, Carmen Garcia Perales and Odilia Garcia Gonzalez; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was an intelligent and thoughtful individual who lived life to the fullest. He received a master’s degree from Trinity university. He loved his wife, his family, and playing Texas hold’em. He loved all that life had to offer. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, October 31, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2.
