David "Dave" E. Derby entered into rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the age of 69 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born to Ira and Elsie Derby in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He is preceded by his parents, sisters Dorthy Sterns, and Phyllis Begley, and brother Bob Derby. Dave is survived by son Jason Derby, brother Doug Derby and wife Jodi, sister Marjorie Bebensee and husband Bill, as well as many other nephews, nieces, family and friends. Dave served his country honorably from 1966-1970, as a Communication Technician for the U.S. Navy, Naval Security Group.
