David B. Coy, 70, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2019. David was born on September 7, 1948 in Elgin, Texas to Johnny and Cecelia Coy. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Inocente; and brother, Eugene Coy. David is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gloria; son, Joseph Coy, daughter, April Torres and son-in law, Frank Torres, and daughter, Anna Coy; grandchildren, Milo, Sabrina, Letty, Lilly, Serenity, Katarina, Roy, and Norma; brother, Eddie Coy from Austin, Texas; sister-in-laws, Rosalee Coy and Irene Coy, both from Austin, Texas; and his loving dog, Sunny. David served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Longhorns fan, he enjoyed cooking, and spending time with his family. David will be greatly missed and his legacy will continue through his family. The family would like to thank Blessy, the VA nurse that took great care of him during his last days.
The family will be receiving guests from 5-8pm on February 18, 2019 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road. A rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00am on February 19, 2019 for a 9:30am Mass at St. Brigid's Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener Street. Committal service with Military Honors will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
