David Charles Rodriguez ll "Super Dave"

David Charles Rodriguez II, “Super Dave”, born on September 7, 1992 was called upon to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the tender age of 21 after a long battle with Leukemia. Super Dave recently graduated from The Nellie Reddix Center/Earl Warren High School here in San Antonio, TX. He was a proud Team Member of SeaWorld of San Antonio for 3 seasons until his illness in November of 2013. Super Dave was loved and admired by many people; his simple smile could light up the entire State of Texas. He is survived by his parents, David and Velma Rodriguez; brothers, Rodney and River Rodriguez; maternal grandmother, Janie G. Vaquera; aunts, Francis Jeffers, Ernestine Ratcliff, Gloria Wilhelm and Sylvia Garza; uncles, Gilbert G. Rodriguez Jr. and Gary Rodriguez; numerous cousins and many friends. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera road on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 for a 12:00 P.M. service at Grace Lutheran Church, 504 Avenue E. 78215, with Rev. Christopher Gentile officiating. Interment will follow at Mission South Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the Nursing staff at Methodist Children’s Hospital- 4th floor Hematology and Oncology BMT unit and Dr. Mahendra Patel and his entire office staff for their care and compassion.
