Daniel Roland Lopez

Daniel (Dan) R. Lopez passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on May 27, 2015 at the age of 53 after a long battle with cancer. Dan was born April 21, 1962 in San Antonio, TX to Guadalupe (Wally) and Felicitas (Feliz) (Rodriguez) Lopez.

Visitation and rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road, San Antonio, TX. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2015 also at St. Dominic with the interment and bereavement luncheon immediately following.

Dan graduated from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Dan also was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus (4th degree), Council 7323/Assembly 2040. Dan had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved to dance, cheer for the Spurs and Cowboys, fish at the Coast, and spend time in the great outdoors.

Dan is survived by his parents, daughter Natalie Rebecca Lopez of San Antonio, brother Steven (Amy) Lopez of Sparta, WI, sister Denise (Leonard) Lausten of San Antonio, six nephews, four nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be dearly missed.
