I just happen to come across Dan's obituary and was flooded with many memories of him.  I was stationed with him at my first assignment, JPPSO-San Antonio.  He used to give me rides to work and he was so hot-blooded that he would have the window down in the middle of the Winter and I would be freezing.  He would just look at me and say "What?  It's not cold!" LOL   I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.  May he rest in peace!! JPPSO 1987 - 1991

It's been 8 months and I miss you like crazy.  RIP daddy.

I just found out about Dans passing and it breaks my heart. I worked with Dan at JPPSO from 94-98 and he was truly a great man who loved his family, friends and country! He went out of his way to help out a friend! He, along with several others, even drove 2 hours one way to help my parents move! I feel horrible I never stayed in touch with him after leaving but he will be in my heart forever! May he Rest in Peace and may God bring comfort to his family!

What a great day I had with the celebration of life for Dan Deyo at Ft Sam.  I continued my day hanging with his family at his daughters house. I hung with all of them til about 7pm.  Learned a lot and got to share in the trip down memory lane.  I left once his brother left to check out the apartment and see what memories he could take away from there.  As I rode home on my Harley the song Stairway to Heaven came on.  Thanks for watching over me on my way home Dan!

I will always remember the spaghetti sauce competition we had at JPPSO.  Mr. Dan was determined to win, and had used some expensive, imported tomatoes...he was SERIOUS!  Although he didn't win, the spaghetti sauce was excellent and I think everyone had a great time.  If there were more people like Mr. Dan Deyo, the world would be a better place (with awesome food). RIP.

Dear Family of Dan, I am sorry to hear about your loss.  I worked with Dan in Germany, approximately at 1978.. I believe the kids were already born at that time, sorry just too long ago, but still hard to hear about the loss of an "old" coworker, friend.  My sympathy to all of you. I had good times with Dan!

My condolences to the family.  Mr. Dan was a very caring man who loved his daughters and grandchildren deeply.  I'm going to miss all the stories he would tell.  My heart goes out to his family.  He will be truly missed!

I'll never forget working together at JPPSO in the mid-80's  when we were both active duty and again in 2009 when we were both civilians. We had some good times on the bowling team and I won't forget Hawaiian shirt Friday or where you hid your best candy. My heart goes out to your girls but you raised them right and they will be alright. Take care buddy, See you in the hereafter.

My most sincere condolences.  Dan was a staple at JPPSO.  It's the simple things about seeing Dan that will be immensely missed.  Like, stepping out the office door to the hallway and seeing Dan's Hawaiian shirt that just wisped around the corner or catching Dan out the corner of my eye while we stood in the food line at an office function while he held tight his personal plate or just visiting his section during football season after a Patriots win for some cheering, candy, and chit chat. Those little things will be missed.  Expecting to see him, then remembering…RIP   Dan will truly be missed.

It was my honor to serve with Dan at the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office - San Antonio from 1991-94.  I have fond memories of Dan's great sense of humor and his devotion to the service of our country.  My prayers and condolences to Dan's family.

Dan the man. I started working with JPPSO in 2011. As a newby, Dan was one of the first individuals I talked to that welcomed me to JPPSO.  My most fondest memory of Dan, beside the Hawaiian shirts, is that Dan heard me say one day that I was hungry and was craving a Snickers bar. Dan showed me his stash of snacks and gave me a Snickers bar. Dan had a entire store of goodies in his desk. Although the candy was dated 2001, it did the job. Thanks Dan, you will be missed. Mr. H.

I want to wish Dan's family my deepest of sympathy for your loss!!!  Dan was one who always gave of himself to his family and those who gained his trust!!!  We had great times during my time at JPPSO-SAT -.8 August 1994 - 8 March 2002.  Dan you will be missed...RIP!!!  All the blessings to your family!!!

I worked with Dan at JPPSO.  My fondest memories of him are about his love for his kids and bowling.  He brought his daughters to an NDTA bowling function and his daughter kicked my tail end while bowling pregnant!  Also remember Dan always entering the Chili cookoof.  He spent more money making his chili than we made selling everybodies chili.  He used the finest meats, spices, and cheeses.  You could always count on him bringing his Coke plate to functions to eat on so he could load up his plate.  Dan you will be missed and I won't be able to look at a Hawaiian shirt without thinking of you and your Lil Buddy Oscar!

To my first cousins daughters, Cathy and Laura, your grandmother Laura was my mothers sister Suzie. I'm am so sorry about Danny, may he rest now, without anymore pain.

Dan was always reliable, diligent and a little hard headed - all of which made him a great employee!  It was a real pleasure leading the JPPSO 1996-1997 and great folks like Dan.  It was sad to hear of his sudden passing.  I know he will be missed by both his family and the JPPSO fsamily.  Prayers and thoughts to all his loved ones and friends.

I remember Dan very well from our days at CPPSO-Kaiserslautern, 1976-1979.

i remember meeting Dan three years ago at the spectrum bldg. he was a very quite person. he was a hard worker, a loving father, a good friend and coworker. he will be missed. God bless his family.

I first met Dan when I went to a Carrier/Agent  meeting in 2003 or 2004. I liked Dan instantly; he was an easy person to talk to and I always enjoyed his calls to set up DPM deliveries.  During these calls we talked about his daughters and grandchildren a lot and he was always counting down the days to retirement!  He was a wonderful person and I will miss him very much.  Rest in peace, Dan.

Dan, you will be missed. Enjoyed the softball and NDTA bowling events with and your family and the good memories shared during my 2 tours at JPPSO with you. RIP.

I met Dan in 1989 when I PCS'd to JPPSO and he was still on active duty.  I had the pleasure of being on numerous bowling and softball teams with him, and attended lots of functions together.  I have tons of memories of those days, and one thing that really stands out to me is that he was always in an upbeat mood, smiling, having a good time, and a very loyal friend!  If I was having a bad day, he was always the one that would pick me up and lift my spirits!  And of course, we always traded friendly jabs on his Patriots/Red Sox and my Cowboys/Rangers!  When we PCS'd from JPPSO, our lives kind of went different ways, but I was very fortunate to catch back up with him when we moved back to San Antonio!  I was able to see him every day in the hallway these past few years, and catch up with that good natured spirit of his!  Rest in Peace, Dan!  I am honored to say we are friends...you are missed and loved!

My friend, you will be missed!  Your stubborn streak, your smile and that awesome candy drawer!! You'll always be a part of the JPPSO family.  Rest in peace Dan.  I am sure that you will keep watch over your precious daughters and beautiful grandchildren...as always.
