Our beloved father, grandfather, Charlie E. Birmingham, born May 8, 1926 entered eternal rest on September 4, 2010 at the age of 84 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Julia Birmingham; his beloved wife, Aurora; son, Henry; brothers, Tim, Frank Jr., and Gilbert Birmingham; ; loving children, Charles Birmingham and Linda Birmingham; grandchildren, Misty, Michael, Maurice, Jessica, Crystal, and Tanya; great-grandchildren 7; brother , Joel Birmingham and sister, Daisy Humphries. Charlie served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and retired with 28 years with Civil Service at Ft. Sam Houston. He enjoyed playing poker, bingo and during his pastime you would find him gardening. A visitation will begin Wednesday September 15, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited this same day at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A memorial Service will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors .
