Charles W. Ross

Charles W. Ross, age 86, passed away November 2, 2011. He was born on July 28, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to Dorset and Clara Ross. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ross and is survived by his daughter, Cheri Boubel and husband Trey; grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, Kaitlin, Elexis, Josiah, Ryan and Kylie; brother-in-law, Ted Jorgensen and sister-in-law Helen Jorgensen; numerous cousins and dear friends. Charles was a WWII Army veteran, with an Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon with one Bronze Star, a good conduct Medal and a Philippine Liberation Victory Ribbon and three Overseas Service Bars. He retired from Kelly AFB after over 30 years of dedicated service. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Rd. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be conducted at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
