Charles was born July 24, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Joyce Ferguson Jewell and Charles W. Jewell. “Chuck” will be lovingly missed by his wife, Kimberly Jewell of San Antonio; children, Christy Jewell Morley of Concord, Jessica Orrostieta of San Antonio, Amber (Steven) Mouser of Leon Valley, Justin Jewell of San Antonio, Ashley Motes of Houston and Christopher Motes of Houston, 8 grandchildren; Sisters Donna (Robert) McCollum of Youngstown, Barbara (Stephen DeBruyn) Jewell of New York City, Patricia (Curtis Hight) Jewell of Akron, Laura (Christopher) Castellano of Boardman, and Linda (Paul) Pavlich of Niles.
Chuck served in the air force where his career brought him to San Antonio from eastern Ohio in 1971. After serving his country, he studied HVAC and construction. After working in HVAC for 35 years he began teaching HVAC to new students to give back to the trade. He studied business management at National American University, and after 15 years of teaching he studied Real Estate at Champions San Antonio and began selling real estate where he served on numerous SABOR committees in order to keep abreast of the industry changes and standards. He was very involved in his neighborhood activities and kept up with the growth of the city. For enjoyment, he spent time with his grandchildren, followed The Spurs, The Steelers and was a huge NASCAR fan. He spent many hours working on his classic car and always looked forward to spending Friday nights among good friends at local car meetups around NW San Antonio.
