He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly Anne Beman.
He is survived by his three children, Chris Beman (Alma), Brad Beman (Amy) and Doug Beman (Jennifer); 6 grandchildren; his wife of 2 years, Jayne.
Charles was a graduate of the University of Iowa, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army for nearly 25 years.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209.
