Celia Alvarado of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 19, 2016. Celia was born on December 11, 1926 to Valentin and Soledad Casias. Celia loved to cook, bake, sew, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Richard G. Alvarado, Sr. Celia is survived by: her daughter, Elfida (Edward) Mendez; daughter, Elida (Ruben) Herrera; daughter, Lucia (Ricardo) Huerta; son, Richard (Margie) Alvarado Jr.; son, Ray (Stephanie) Alvarado; son, Cerbando Alvarado, and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at Trevino Funeral Home on Palo Alto Rd. Resurrection Mass will be on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church at 10:00am with interment to follow at Casias Family Cemetery in Rossville, Texas.
