Carroll E. Farris was born in Kossuth, Mississippi on September 26, 1935 to Jasper and Lethia Farris. He is one of six children. Carroll served in the United States Army from 1958-1964, and was an auto mechanic until he retired. His days were spent enjoying old black and white Western's on TV and reminiscing of happy times.
"Boy am I lonely without Mom", that was something he said often. Carroll lost his wife of 50 years, Mary, in March 2021. His last days were filled with dreams of those who left before him, and the angels shaking his hand, welcoming him home. He left us peacefully to be with his beloved at his home in San Antonio, Texas with loved ones around him as he would have wanted.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Surber, and her husband Jerry Surber, grandfather to his name-sake, grandson, Ferris Knott, and granddaughter, Mary-Kathryn Knott, and is survived by his three sisters, nephews and nieces.
