Carrie G. Ramon, age 88, of DeVine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Born on May 30, 1936, Carrie was a beloved wife, mother, and friend whose warmth and creativity touched the lives of many.
Carrie had a passion for life that shone through her many hobbies. She loved playing bingo, engaging in home crafts, painting, sewing, cooking, and volunteering. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her caregiving, as she devoted herself to helping others in her community.
Carrie first met her husband of 57 years, Edward Ramon, at the Arthur Murray Dance Center, where their love for dance blossomed into a beautiful partnership that lasted a lifetime.
Carrie will be united in heaven with her parents Ignacio and Cruz Gonzales; brothers Benito Gonzales, Ignacio Gonzales Jr., Ruben Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales; sisters, Anita Cortez, Dahlia Cardenas, and Madelyn Webb.
She is survived by her loving family; Husband Edward Ramon Jr.; daughter Marisa Ramon(Matthew Harrell); brothers George Gonzales, Albert Gonzales, and Raul (Roy) Gonzales; and sister Sandy Flores.
A visitation for Carrie will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, located at 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A family-led service will follow from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
