Carol L. Silvus

Carol was active in many organizations in and around San Antonio. She served on many PTA boards in Northside ISD. She was a member and president of San Antonio Women’s Federation, and Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. She was also a member of Altrusa, Women’s Club of San Antonio, Freedom’s Foundation of Valley Forge, and the Methodist Bluebird Auxillary. She had a servant’s heart.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stan, son Gregory Silvus, daughter Stacie Brown, grandson Tyler Brown, and sister-in-law Susan Silvus.

The family would like to thank the Memory Care attendants at Isle of Watercrest Alamo Ranch and Seasons Hospice personnel for their excellent care of Carol during the last year of her life.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service at noon on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Central Christian Church, 720 N. Main, San Antonio, TX.
