Carmen F. Fuentes

Carmen (Cha-Cha) Figueroa Fuentes, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was born on February 8, 1925 in San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Zepeda; step-father Francisco Zepeda; sister, Manuela Castillo; brothers, Rodolfo Figueroa and Oscar Zepeda, Sr. She is survived by her grandchildren: Deanna Fuentes, Lana Rossi, Shaunna Westwood of California; brothers: Victor (Marina) Zepeda, Alfonso Zepeda, Jesse Zepeda, Frank (Lisa) Zepeda; sisters: Guadalupe (Eustolio) Vega and Beatrice (Tony) Resendez; and numerous nephews and nieces who loved her dearly. Carmen was loved and respected by her many co-workers at the former TRW in Los Angeles, CA. While at TRW, Carmen was especially proud of her work with the Apollo Space Missions and had the honor of meeting many of the Apollo Astronauts. She was a loving and generous woman and will be missed by all who knew her. Be happy with your “Mami” and your “Panzon”. Sleep with the Angels. Visitation will begin Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Trevino’s Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road with rosary in her honor to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A procession will depart from funeral Home, on Friday, July 27 at 9:15 A.M. for a celebration Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Manuel Isidro Cemetery, Macdona, TX.
