

Carlos was the second child born to Carlos Vasquez, Sr. and Inez Vasquez on November 4, 1940.
Carlos proudly and honorably served his country as a Helicopter Technician and Jet Engine Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force for over 25 years, rising to the rank Master Sergeant having earned many decorations and awards throughout his career.
Carlos liked to read, watch Netflix and his favorite pastime was spending time at VFW Post 9174 and American Legion Post 579.
Carlos was the most loving father, husband and loyal friend any family could ask for.
Carlos was preceded in death by his Parents Carlos Vasquez, Sr. and Inez Vasquez; Brother George Vasquez Sr.; Nephew George Vasquez, Jr.; Niece Vanessa Vasquez; Sister Shirley Vasquez and Granddaughter Jael Rene Lopez.
Carlos is survived by his loving Wife Delia Vasquez; Sister Oralia Cosme, Brothers David Vasquez and Adolph Vasquez; Sister-in-Law Ester Vasquez; Sister Sylvia Rincon, Daughter Rose Grimaldo, Son Ernest Grimaldo, Daughter Claudia Lopez and Husband Oliver Lopez, Jr., Daughter Monica Frausto, Daughter Jennifer Martinez and Husband Gabriel Martinez, Daughter Elizabeth Wigginton and Husband Ronald Wigginton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to carry on his legacy and memories.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251. Committal services will immediately follow on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:30 AM at San Fernando Cemetery #2, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237 with Full Military Honors.
