Carlos Garza, Sr. passed in peace to be with our Lord on June 12, 2020 at the age of ninety-one. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Manuela R. “Nena” Garza, sons Carlos Garza, Jr., Robert Garza and four loving grandchildren. Carlos will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving and devoted father who enjoyed camping, swimming, being outdoors and reading about World War II history. Carlos also served twenty years in the Army National Guard, 36th Infantry Division. He was also an avid music lover who enjoyed military marches and traditional country music. He had a charismatic personality, a contagious sense of humor and infectious smile. Carlos was a strong Christian and had a great kindness about him. He treated everyone with respect and care. He will be truly missed by his family and all who knew him.
