To Sandra and Carlos' family,  please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Carlos was more than a work colleague to me, he was a close friend whom I have known most of my adult life. He was someone I could talk to and confide in.  He made coming to work something to look forward to as oppose to something I had to do. I truly miss him.

From the very beginning when my first cousin Sandra introduced Carlos to me I was barely a teenager now that I'm older I think back and realized he always had a smile on his face.If it was months between getting together at family functions he would come to you like as if you just saw each other yesterday.Whether meeting him for the first time or knowing him for a lifetime he always made you feel welcomed and part of the family.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend and a mentor. Even though I have only known him for 5 months, it felt to me that we have known each other for a much longer time. Not only we talked about work, but we also had great conversations about our personal lives. He was someone who greatly valued the concept of family, and he loved hanging out with his own. He loved sharing stories and pictures of his family. He was a person who was kind, patient, and caring. I am greatly honored to have being trained by a legend in the world of EMC. May you rest in peace Carlos.

My sincere condolences go out to the family of Carlos Cruz, i met Carlos some years ago at AMD, Carlos was a very genuine person always smiling and friendly he would often mention his love for riding bikes and his love of San Antonio, i will miss the interaction i had with Carlos. God Bless

I am still at a loss with this news. It's hard to believe.  I'm so grateful we got to chat a few weeks back.  I missed the opportunity with Aaron, so I'll especially cherish the memory of our last conversation together..  You were always an awesome brother-in‐law. The best. 

Thank you, Carlos, for always being you. You were always a big supporter and fan when I played volleyball and just all around in life.  Ethan, Dakota, Luke and I will miss you terribly. 

Prayers and condolences to the Cruz family.  I worked with Carlos when he was at the EMC lab at Southwest Research Institute.  Great guy to work with; hard worker and always fun to be around.  Fond memories of him.  May he rest is peace and his family and friends be comforted by fond memories of him.

It is with such a heavy heart that I learned this morning of Carlos's passing. Carlos was my customer for many years in his role at AMD. I was just reflecting on his love for his job, his hard work, and his gratitude for everything - not to mention his friendly and caring interactions with other people. Truly, he has left a tremendous legacy.

I lift you up in my prayers and ask God to grant you peace during this time, and also ask that your remembrance of Carlos will bring you joy and peace for many years to come.

My most heartfelt condolences to Sandra, Kevin, Travis, the entire Cruz family.

AMD was very fortunate to have found and grab Cruz.  His professionalism, his dedication, his solid work ethic.  A winner.  Our lab was in great hands since his arrival.

More importantly, he was a true friend.  Everybody liked him.

Of course, he would gladly share his finger-licking-good BBQ with us from time to time.  And his lawn, well, let’s just say that there simply isn’t anybody around that could even equal such immaculate perfection.

Many precious moments shared with Cruz.  It was an honor and privilege to know him and be with him at AMD.

My Deepest Condolences to the Cruz Family. 
I had the pleasure of working with Carlos as a Manager, co-worker and most of all a friend. I would go to the lab and on-site to meet with the team and him on a one on one basis, his dedication, work ethic, expertise and drive to be the best at his job was inspirational.
As great as he was at his job, he was truly a way better person, his smile, jokes, how he talked glowingly about his family and sharing personal experiences is something I remember with a smile.

May Carlos rest in peace and may God Bless his family.

Carlos will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful human being. Always helpful and always pleasant to talk to. This is a big loss - I wish there was an undo button in real life and we could have him back 😞.

I dearly remember our talks about family, gym, politics and just about anything while he trained me at work when I visited Austin first in 2015 and then in 2019. He fondly reminisced his trip to Canada with his wife and planned to visit again in future. 

He was a hard working individual who spent long hours at work and would go out of his way to help others. 

I am glad I got to know him over the past 8 years. I have nothing but pleasant memories about my interactions with him. I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time with him especially during the past year. 

I pray for patience for his family in these testing times. May he rest in peace.
