Caridad Rangel Chavez, born on September 16, 1925 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with our Lord on February 2, 2017 at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her lifetime dancing partner and husband, Arthur A. Chavez; twin sister, Esperanza Barrientes; brothers, Martin and Edmundo Rangel. She is survived by her children, Gloria Sechrist (Michael), Richard Chavez (Lupe), Alice Davila (Michael), Charles Chavez (Janine) and Dr. Robert R. Chavez, M.D. (Ken); grandchildren, Laura Molenda, Michael Sechrist, Christopher Chavez, Marcie E. Cortinas, Italie Flores and Jax London Chavez; sister, Leonor Gabrillo. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m., February 16, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Henry Catholic Church, 1619 S. Flores St. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Wear bright colors.
