Bryan Carver Schiller

Bryan and his parents, William Bryan and Evelyn Carver Schiller, moved to San Antonio when he was one year old and he was a lifelong resident of this city.

A 1941 Jefferson High School graduate, he attended Texas A&M and then Tulane for Midshipman School. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Lt. (j.g.) Commander, and saw action in the Pacific Theater, the invasion of Okinawa. When he returned after World War II, he continued his studies at the University of Texas where he earned a B.B.A. and at St. Mary's School of Law for his J.D. Bryan practiced law in San Antonio for over 40 years.

He was a man of strong faith and demonstrated a deep love of his God, his country and his family throughout his life. He was married to the former Norrie Brett for over 65 years. A modest man with a strong sense of integrity, a kind and gentle spirit, and a subtle "twinkling" sense of fun, he enjoyed all sports (whether as a participant or spectator) and was good at all to which he put his hand. He loved "The Horns", the Spurs, the Cowboys, and was an avid golfer and a long-time member of Oak Hills Country Club.

Bryan was preceded in death by his wife, "Norrie"; his parents and his grandparents.

He is survived by his son, William B. Schiller II; and his daughter, Susan Brett Schiller; his grandson, Bryan Scott Schiller (Amanda); and granddaughter, Sarah Laurin Schiller; and their mother, Laurin Schiller.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
