Bruce Edward Brossman, age 61, passed away peacefully in his family’s home on August 28, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. Bruce is survived by his brother, Daniel W. Brossman, and wife Linda, of Garden Ridge, TX; sister, Ann E. Brossman of San Antonio, TX; and brother William J. Brossman, and wife Susan, of Houston, TX, nieces and nephew Brittany, Brass, Brooke, Sabrina, and Amanda. He is preceded in death by his parents, “Brass” and Florence Brossman, of San Antonio, TX; his grandparents, Henry “Butch” and Regina Heger, of Weimar, TX, and Joseph and Magdalena Brossmann, of Schulenburg, TX. He also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Bruce was born on September 24, 1955 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1973. He received a degree in Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin University in 1977 and worked around the world as a chemist before finding his calling to be a registered nurse in 1990.
Bruce enjoyed traveling, photography, and music. Bruce’s infectious smile and laughter brightened every room. With his endless wit, Bruce provided comic relief to any occasion. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation for the family and friends will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 am. Attire is Hawaiian causal. In Bruce’s honor, please join us at the Brossman home as we celebrate Bruce’s birthday.
