Bonnie Fay (Hamilton) Porfilio, 75, the Porfilio family matriarch affectionately known as “Fox” passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023. Bonnie was from the eastern shore of Virginia and lived there until she met an Air Force officer on a blind date, Ronald Allen Porfilio, who promised to show her the world if she married him. Throughout their lives they lived in numerous states including Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Texas, Maryland, and Hawaii. They also had two overseas tours in Germany.
Traveling became a passion for Bonnie and she visited England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Sicily, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Hungary, and Dubai. She was excited and planning her next trip to Egypt. Bonnie also had a love for eating out, taking care of animals (especially cats and birds), watching Judge Judy and Murdoch Mysteries, bowling with her two favorite teammates, shopping at QVC and Amazon, and enjoying weekly lunches with her best friend Mary at Cracker Barrel.
She was a wonderful and loving grandmother to Carson, Connor, Milania, and Kira. Bonnie is survived by her children Lara, Stacy and Ashley, and her grandchildren Carson, Connor, Milania, and Kira. She is survived by her sister Patricia “Patty” Parks and brother William “Billy” Hamilton. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, father William, and mother Christine. During these trying times the family has decided to keep the memorial service limited to family members only. Thank you for your love for Bonnie and understanding. Bonnie would be comforted in knowing that in lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity of choice be made.
