Bobbie J. White

Bobbie Jean White was born in Tampa, FL to J. Marvin and Mary A. (Burnett) Sweat on December 25, 1925 and entered eternity on October 24, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Bobbie was totally unselfish, and had the patience of Job. She graduated from Florida State University in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church which became University United Methodist Church for 65 years, where she was a member of the Eugene Slater Class. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Don E. White; sons, Don E. White, Jr., R. Dennis White (Mae), James M. White (Susie); grandchildren, Casie L. Givens (Juston), Dr. Will W. White (Kyrbie), Molly M. White, Jay White, Kyle M. Rourke, Jessica G. Rourke; 2 great-grandchildren and her sister, Billie M. Sweat. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at University United Methodist Church. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Alamo Hospice, Elizabeth De La Rosa and Trinidad May for the loving care that Bobbie received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
