Bill Lee

William Edwin Lee was born to Stacey and Goldie Lee on April 9, 1928 in Marshall, IL. Bill went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 21, 2015. He attended Marshall High School and married Lora Grace Cooper Lee on April 3, 1948. They moved to San Angelo, TX in 1951 when Bill joined the USAF. While living there his only daughter, Deborah Dawn Lee was born on October 30, 1957. In 1958, Bill and Grace moved to San Antonio, TX where they lived together until 1980. They were avid square dancers and members of the Grand Lodge, Sons of Hermann since 1963. Bill relocated to Taylor, TX with his 2nd wife, Gussie in 1981 and lived there until her death in 1990. Then he relocated to Austin, TX with his 3rd wife, Ellen Carlson and lived there until 2011. At that point in his life with the onset of Dementia he moved to Kerrville, TX to be closer to his daughter and son-in-law so they could assist him. It was necessary for Bill to live in a senior care facility until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and both sisters, Lila and Virginia. Bill is survived by his daughter, Debbie and her husband, Steve Pratt. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband, Derik Mahan and their children, Connor and Keeley. His only brother Frank lives in Hattiesburg, MS.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum II. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer/Dementia Organization of your choice.
