Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Beverly Marie Skalbe went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on June 13, 1945 in Nederland, TX. Beverly was a glowing example of the Lord’s love, compassion and grace. She will be dearly missed, but those who know the Lord will be reunited with her for eternity. Her greatest desire came about today “To kneel down and kiss the feet of her Lord”. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, June Gayle Mear. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, John S. Skalbe; son, Rupert Spencer Foster; grandchildren, Brendan John Mear, Macy Margaret Mear; son-in-law, Matthew Mear; siblings, Ann Carie, Juanita Porter, Harry Billiott, Russell Billiott, Barbara Calcango, Sandra Clements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
