Betty A. Laney

Betty Ann Laney, age 78, passed away December 6, 2011. She was born on July 22, 1933 in San Antonio, TX. She was a very loving wife and mother. She worked over 40 years in the oil and gas business and was a member of Desk & Derrick.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Carroll Laney, Jr.; parents, Clement & Carrie Mann; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her 3 children, Lynda Sherrod & husband John, Craig Laney and Donna Laney & fiancé Kevin Kondoff; 3 grandchildren, John Kye Sherrod Jr. & wife Ambra, James Kristopher Sherrod and Alexandria Laney; great grandson, Skylar Thompson; brother, Leroy Mann; sister-in-law, Marie Mann; and favorite canine companion, Dolly.

Visitation will be 11 am, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to be at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the San Antonio Humane Society (www.sahumane.org) , or the charity of one’s choice.
