Benito A. Munoz

Benito A. Munoz was born February 9, 1944 and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023 at the age of 79. Benito was born the youngest of five children to Guadalupe and Florencia in Rio Grande City, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena, and son, Ben Munoz, Jr. (Linda), and daughter, Annette Belvis (Michael) and son-in-law, Tom Sarro; four grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan, Kristina, and Madeline, and sister, Florence Arrendondo. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Sarro, parents, and three brothers. He worked for USDA for over 45 years and spent many years enjoying ranching on weekends with his family. Benny loved traveling and spent his last trip in Israel, the Holy Land. He looked forward to spending any free time visiting his grandchildren. If he could, he would have spent every day with them.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5 from 6-8 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will held on Thursday, July 6 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10 am with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
