Thanks for the Memories of years gone by (5th grade until your passing) You have had a prosperous and fruitful life; Your work on earth is done; now go and rest upon that Mountain where love,  grace, and mercy abound! I was so very sad to hear of Barry's passing.  I only got to work with Barry for a short time at CRI, but how impactful it was!  He always made me feel comfortable and always so graciously helped in any way that he could when I needed it.   I remember his laugh and the warmth that he emanated when he was around.  I'm so sorry for the loss of such a good human!  God bless you Barry and your family.



Sweet memories of when Barry lived in Rochester.  I remember our mothers baking cookies and fruit cakes at Christmas time at Barry's house.  My dad sold the fruit cakes when he went to work @Kodak.  Many miles have separated us over the years when they moved to Texas but we tried to keep in touch.  We hosted a family reunion at our house several years ago and it was wonderful  for all of us to connect again.  I have loved reading all the comments of those who worked with Barry over the years.  It's a blessing that he is with our Lord and Savior and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.  Much love to all the family as you deal with such a loss.       

So very sad to hear of Barry's passing.  We had the pleasure of knowing and working with Barry as partners in Gurdy's Express Wash.  His infectious laugh and personality will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ann and family.  God bless.

Barry hired me in 1991 at Mitchell Energy & Development Corporation, when I was in between jobs.    I consider that one of my happiest days.    Barry loved to go to Old Town Spring for lunch, which was a real treat.    He also liked to say that's close enough for government work!    I remember Barry coming in one day and saying let's not work anymore Saturdays, which was wondrous.    Barry and Ann moved on from Mitchell Energy, leaving us with a solid foundation and love of tax work.    May we meet up again,   

We were lucky to have known Barry and Ann for years through my parents Marsha and Randy.  We are all so sad about the loss of Barry.  We will always remember him by his contagious laugh that just made you smile! We are all so thankful for the friendship our parents had with Barry and Ann and we will never forget all the stories and fun times we had with him.  He will be dearly missed.  We will continue to pray for Ann and their family!

We are all so sad about the passing of Barry. He and my dad, Randy, were such great friends for a long time. I’ll miss the two of them calling while they were outside working on projects or over at one of their houses hanging out with Ann and my mom, Marsha.  You never knew what they would have to say! Barry is the only other person I knew that enjoyed projects like my dad.   I’ll miss his laugh and good sense of humor. And I’ll always remember having my first real “cup of wine” at his and Ann’s  house after college. Ann, we love you dearly and will always be praying for you.  Rest In Peace, Barry.

Barry was a great friend to my Dad, Randy.  He and Ann were staples in our family for years & we loved the time we spent with them.  Barry enjoyed doing random projects with my Dad and they always had a great time doing them.  He was full of life and had a laugh that made me smile.  We all cherished Barry dearly. Dearest Ann & Family,
Our entire family was so saddened to hear about the loss of Barry and we are all completely devastated and heartbroken.  Ann, you and Barry have been our best friends for over 23 years.  From the first time I met Barry, I knew that he was a great guy and we shared the same values with regard to loving our families and I immediately sensed that Barry was a good and decent person that his family could always count on.  While I met Barry just as he was leaving The Woodlands Operating Company in the summer of 1998,  I knew from the outset that I wanted to be his friend because we were so much alike in almost every facet.  We were both very particular with regard to everything we did in the workplace and outside of work and we worked so well together on numerous projects for years before and after we both retired in 2020.  Marsha and I loved spending time with Ann and Barry and considered them to be an integral part of our family. We had so many wonderful times together over the years and we will always cherish our trip to Napa Valley, which was absolutely phenomenal. Barry and Ann were loved in Napa and Marsha and I were in awe about all the people they knew and the relationships they had formed with so many people in Napa.  Our three daughters also thought the world of Ann and Barry and we had so much fun together on multiple occasions.  We will always remember that any time one of our daughters called while we were hanging out with Barry and Ann, Barry would insist on talking to the girls and they all loved that, and especially to hear his wonderful laugh, which no one could replicate!  Just to think that we will never hear Barry’s great laugh again makes us sad beyond belief.
We will all miss Barry dearly and we hope and pray, Ann, that you and the entire family will get through this difficult time through prayers from so many people that love both of you so much!

I had the pleasure of working with Barry for quite a few years at CRI. His thoughtful leadership, kind personality, and the way he managed people with respect and genuine concern for wanting them to excel is something I will always remember. God bless the Corbitt family and may you feel the Lord’s presence and comfort.

I am so very sorry and heartbroken to hear of Barry's passing.  I have known and worked with Barry for almost 20 years, back when he first joined our firm.   He was not only a co-worker, but my dear sweet friend....and sometimes "counselor".  We both lived in The Woodlands during most of those years and had that in common, as well.  I will never forget his kindness, thoughtfulness, and bigger than life personality....always smiling, laughing, and just an overall  GREAT FRIEND to me and so many others!   I will never forget the time many years ago, when he was looking to purchase a futon/bunk bed for his grandchildren to have when they visited.  My son had a red iron futon/bunk bed that we had planned to get rid of, and I asked if he wanted it.  He did, and myself and my 2 "children" who were 11 & 15 at the time (now 31 & 35) loaded up that bed and headed to his and Ann's home.  I told him that it was a gift, but Barry wouldn't have it!  He tried to pay us for it, and after lots of conversation back and forth, he slipped a $100 bill into my son's back pocket when he thanked and hugged him good-bye!  We didn't even know until much later that evening!  That's just the kind of man he is...and I wasn't surprised in the least.  Both he and Ann are the BEST of the BEST!  I already miss him tremendously, and I will never forget my dear sweet friend.   Ann, I am praying you and your beautiful family find much peace, comfort, and strength,...now and in the days to come... in all of the WONDERFUL memories shared with Barry.   Keeping you and all who love him in my daily thoughts and prayers.  I am here for you 24/7 if/when you need me.  I am just a phone call away!  Sending you all much LOVE and HUGS! XO

I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing.  He was incredibly kind & went out of his way to say hello to me  in the office.  I always looked forward to working on projects with him.  He was the smartest guy in the room but was always willing to share his knowledge & help in whatever way he could.  I know he will be truly missed by all of his family and friends. Ann, our hearts are broken at the news of Barry's passing.   Our prayers for comfort are with you during this sad time. I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing.  I didn't know him
 long, having joined CRI in 2018 but he was always friendly and helpful.  One of the first people I met there that always went out of his way to speak to me and call me by name.

I am so sad to learn of Barry's passing.  I worked with him for many years off an on over time.  I was always happy to have a project with him.  His patience, kindness and teaching skills were impeccable.  He made sure I knew what was going on, even when he probably didn't have the time, he took the time.   He was always smiling too.  I will never forget when we went to Bryan, Texas with another partner to meet with a client.  It ended up being Barry's birthday .  It was in 2015 (does not feel that long ago).  We all went to his birthday lunch at the only place we could find in Bryan, a winery, Messina Hof Winery.  Was a very nice time, beautiful location. I bought a shirt that day, and some wine for a dear friend.  I am finding that shirt and wearing it this week.  I will always cherish that day as it was special.  It was not something that occurs everyday in the life of a public accountant.   Barry's kindness, thoughtfulness, patience, and more will never be forgotten.  I miss you Barry.  I regret not keeping in better touch.  I hope you really knew how much you meant to so many people.  My condolences to Barry's family.  He was a treasure.  My heart is sad.  Love,  Angie 

Barry and I worked for George Mitchell’s company for many years. I will always remember Barry as a kind and gentle man, always with a smile and going out of his way to say hello.
