Barbara Ann McGinley

Barb McGinley grew up in San Diego, CA where she graduated from Mount Miguel High School in 1976. In 2006 she completed an Associate of Arts degree from San Antonio College. Art was always her passion, and she had been painting since she was very young. She learned her love of art from her beloved father Robert Landry. He was an inspired artist and teacher. From 1994 to 1997 Barb McGinley was an award winning, Signature Member of the Nevada Watercolor Society. Barb has shown her work in numerous galleries and juried art exhibitions in Nevada, California, New York, Pennsylvania, and more recently, Texas.

Over the years Barb enjoyed painting a variety of subjects in watercolor, mainly focusing on Seascapes and Landscapes. As with her father before her, Barb’s artistic talents got her recognized in the artist’s blue book located at http://www.askart.com.

Before becoming a full time Artist, Barbara was a Human Resources Manager for Maxtor Corp. in Milpitas, CA. Previously she attended the Community College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada Las Vegas to obtain her certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) with a specialty in employee benefits.

Barbara lived in San Antonio, Texas with her husband Rick, son Aaron, and numerous pets. Above all else she was a strong Christian who loved the Lord. The example she set was an inspiration to everyone. She will forever be missed.
