Barbara Ann M. Hamby

Barbara Ann Hamby, 77, passed away on October 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 5, 1946, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Agnes Michael, brother Tim Michael, and sister Marcia Michael.

Barbara graduated from the nursing program at San Antonio College in 1971. She dedicated her career to nursing, bringing her expertise to a diverse range of fields including critical care, oncology, emergency medicine, and home health.

She found her greatest joy in the company of her family, cherishing moments shared with her children and grandchildren. Her heart was devoted to understanding the word of God, and she inspired those around her to embrace faith. Trusting in the Lord, she discovered profound solace in her unwavering relationship with Him.

Barbara is survived by her children, Allison Kyzar and husband Ben, Brian Hamby and wife Allyson, Chris Hamby and wife Kelly, Denise Gorczyca and husband Greg; siblings, Celeste Schafer, Pamela Alford, Bill Michael II, Christine Michael; grandchildren, Hannah, Madeline, Raven, Emma, Josh, Grace, Hayden, Rihanna, Thomas, Abigail, Hadley, Greg, Alyssa, Faith.

Visitation will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 4:00 pm, with a funeral service to begin at 6:00 pm.
