She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pablo Contreras; her parents, Ismael and Maria; her siblings; her son, Luis Contreras; her granddaughters, Bertha (Anna) Suth and Teresa Contreras; and her son-in-law, Arthur Palacios.
Aurora is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Hernandez; her daughter, Lidia Palacios; and her daughter, Belinda Gonzales; blessed with 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 46 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, March 25th, 2019 for a Visitation from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 N. Main Ave. 78205. A Chapel Service at the funeral home will take place at 9:00 AM, with a Funeral Procession departing at 10:00 AM and arriving at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. 78209 – at 10:30 AM, where she will be reunited with her husband, Pablo.
