Atanacio Garcia

Atanacio Garcia, loving husband, father, and grandfather, born on October 31, 1927 in Melvin, TX was called to be with the Lord on March 6, 2014 at the age of 86. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the community. He was also a retired Military Veteran and US Postal Service Worker. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Petra Quiroz; brother, Jose Juan Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Juana Gloria Garcia; children, Rick Garcia (Susie), Antonio Garcia, Rosemary Garcia, Patricia Garcia and Eduardo Garcia; grandchildren, Jonathan Garcia, Briana Garcia, Vincent Carreon, Rick Garcia Jr., Elisa Gloria Garcia, Miguel Garcia, and Haleigh Garcia; sister, Romana De La Cruz; sister-in-law, Leandra Garcia; numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso St., San Antonio, TX 78207, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
