Nacida el 1 de julio de 1977 en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México, fue la querida hija de Blanca Myriam García de Marroquín y Francisco Marroquín.

La vida de Iriela fue un testimonio de su compasión infinita, fe inagotable y una asombrosa capacidad para construir amistades y entregarse a ellas.
