Ashley Raye Dobie

Ashley Raye Patterson Dobie, known to many as “sister”, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2012, in the arms of her husband surrounded by her sons, friends, and family. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday March 23, at the funeral home. Ashley was born in San Antonio on Sept. 27, 1979. She grew up in Helotes, Texas, and was very involved in 4H. Ashley worked as a dental assistant and personal trainer. Ashley married her husband, William Lewis Dobie Jr. on Nov. 8, 2003. Her three boys, three step-daughters, and her family were her life. All she ever wanted to be was a mother and a wife. She was an amazing mother and provider and her faith in the Lord was a beacon to all. Ashley was a beautiful person, inside and out. She is survived by her husband, Will Dobie; her three sons, Robbie, Trey, and Colton; three step-daughters, Alexis, Cheyenne, and Kaiya; her mother, Kelly Brown; her father, Patrick Patterson; her sisters, Rebekah Patterson and Myra Patterson; her grandmother, Kathy Patterson; in-laws, W.L. and Cindy Dobie; and numerous friends and family. In lieu of flowers, a college fund for Ashley’s sons has been set up at First National Bank of Central Texas in Waco, in the name of Robbie, Trey and Colton Dobie.
