Arvel graduated from Lutheran High School. He worked for USI Insurance as an Account Manager for ten years.
Arvel was so friendly and kind towards others that he was nicknamed Mr. Rogers. He was very personable and could strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered.
Arvel was the type of person who always went the extra mile to help others, whether it was giving someone a ride home, helping others move, or being the first to volunteer to clean up after an event; no matter how large. He was one who always extended kind words of encouragement. Arvel gave his life to Christ at an early age.
Arvel is survived by his wife, Kimberly; two children, Brassant and Hollis, one sister Carolyn Richardson and one brother Matthew T. Gardner, both of Portland, OR. Arvel left behind to mourn many other relatives and a host of friends.
Guy Nguyen, Ramiro Chapa, Stanley Forde, Christian Estrada, Hollis Richardson, Robert Toretta, Matthew Gardner, and Roger Richardson have the honor of being Arvel's pallbearers.
