Arnoldo died in San Antonio, Texas on June 24, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1929 in San Antonio to Francisco G. Muñiz and Leonor A. Muñiz. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Consuelo, Elvira, and Juliet; and his brothers, Ernesto and Heriberto. His beloved wife, Elisa, of 54 years died on May 22, 2021.
Mr. Muñiz graduated from Sidney Lanier High and UTSA. He worked at Kelly AFB for 36 years. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a life long member of the United Methodist Church.
He was loved and cared for by his many nephews and nieces in his old age. Uncle Arnold, Tio Nole to some, will be missed by his "children", but they all will rejoice in knowing that Tio Nole will be joining his beloved Elisa in heaven.
A visitation for Arnoldo will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 9:45 AM for a committal service at 10:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
