Arnold Stanley Mejia is the son of the late Jose Mejia & Rita Moreno Mejia. He entered paradise on Sunday morning on Father’s Day, June 18, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Arnold is preceded in death by his former wife, Sara Mejia, by his parents, Jose Mejia & Rita Moreno Mejia, his brother, David Mejia, and his sisters: Romona Martinez, Josephine Cabrerra, Trini Garcia, Gloria Arragon, and Marcia Hoggott.

Arnold is survived by his brother, Tony (Helen) Mejia, by his sisters: Mary (Bryon) Moore, and Jessie (Ed) Ciecirski., his only son, Stanley Mejia, his daughters: MariaElena Mejia, Catherine (Daniel) Mendez, Tanya Mejia, & Michelle Gonzalez. He has 6 grandchildren: Stephanie (Brad) Broussard, Christina Garcia, Sarah Mendez, Nicholas Mendez, Raven Reyna, and Kassandra Gonzalez, as well as 4 great grandchildren, and generations of nephews & nieces.

Arnold began his sobriety journey when he accepted Jesus Christ into his life on Mother’s Day 1984. From then on, he dedicated every aspect of his life to glorifying God. He was a faithful member of Eagles Nest/Summit Christian Church where he served in the parking lot & greeter ministries since 1999. He will be remembered for his faith in Christ, his sense of humor, and his smiles.

Arnold will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

A visitation for Arnold will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A prayer service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM , A graveside service to follow.
