Armando Gutierrez

Armando Gutierrez, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2012 at the age of 81. He was born on March 2, 1931 in Santo Nino, TX. Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Lucio and Nicolasa Gutierrez; son, Armando David Gutierrez; and brother, Alvar Gutierrez. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Celica Gutierrez; daughter, Rebecca Hernandez (Jerry); granddaughter, Abigail Allegra Hernandez; siblings, Elodia Cantu, Eduardo Gutierrez, Rosie Gallegos, and Derly Gutierrez; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Armando was a generous man and welcomed all to his home with open arms. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. Armando was a wonderful role model and always put his family first. He was self-educated and a successful businessman and good provider; and enjoyed volunteering his time on numerous theocratic assignments and projects. He was loved dearly by all his friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, and a Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
