

Arlene went to be with our Lord on August 7, 2023. It is with great sorrow that we share this news. However, we wish to remember her as she lived. Arlene was born in San Antonio, TX. Arlene was a vibrant, loving, generous person. She lived a full life. She was a caring daughter, wonderful sister, loving wife, involved mother, warm grandmother, interested aunt, and a kind-hearted person.
Arlene was a school counselor and teacher with Northeast ISD for 47 years. She worked at several campuses during her career.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Adelaide Garza, and her husband of 44 years, Johnny Johnson. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Garza, Jr. and wife Patricia; sister, Mary Eloise Reigrut and husband Daniel; son, Justin Brent Johnson and daughter-in-law Cynthia Ann; daughter, Jordan Courtney Johnson; son, Jarrett Blake Johnson; her precious granddaughters, McKenna Isabel and Sinclair Cruz Johnson; nephews, Art Garza and wife Theresa, Anthony Garza, Travis Reigrut and wife Ann Marie; niece, Lindsay Zamarripa and husband Tommy; great-niece, Addison Reigrut; and great-nephews, Connor Reigrut and Kai Zamarripa.
The family would like to thank Danny Contra with Danny’s Care Home for watching over Arlene in her final days. We would like to thank Guiding Light Hospice for their support before, during and after. We would also like to thank the doctors, hospital staff and all those who gave love and support to Arlene as she waged her brave battle against pancreatic cancer.
Arlene rest in God’s warm embrace.You will always be remembered.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
