Antonio leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Anthony T. Rivas (Sonya) and Gregory E. Rivas (Michelle); grandchildren, Stephen Rivas, Jonathan Rivas, Kristina Rivas, Megan Rivas and Cade Rivas; and many beloved friends.
Antonio meets in Heaven his loving wife of 49 years, Lorraine Rivas.
Antonio was a veteran of the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps, and met Lorraine while stationed at Camp Pendleton between his two tours in Vietnam.
Tony was active in the Catholic Church in the various local communities where he lived over the years. He participated, and contributed in several parish retreats, were he served a mentor and friend.
Prior to retirement, Tony worked as the Director of Public Works in Universal City, Texas where he led and contributed to many projects in the growing town.
Tony was a loving and generous parent, grandparent, and friend. He missed his best friend and wife greatly, and found strength in his faith and prayer to help accept the path laid before him after her passing. His smile, laugh, generosity, and wisdom will be missed by us all.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
