He came from a humble and compassionate family. He was the oldest, his brother Benito Rios (deceased) and his sister Rosario Rios.
His inspiration was to work hard and provide for his family.
He was inspired by his neighbors. They would wear ties when going to work. He would find any fabric to make them for himself
He worked for Piggy Wiggly at an early age. He was promoted to assistant manager due to his work ethics. He always wore a tie.
Then on 10 October 1951 he was inducted to US Marine Corp CPL. He was shipped out to the Korean War where he saw so much sadness. His artillery was using a bazooka. He was scared but had to do his duty. One time, he needed to go to the dispensary to look at his ears. He found out later half of his battalion had taken a hit. The Lord had kept his safe.
When he would get paid, he would always give his Dad the whole paycheck and then his Dad would give him his allowance. This was done all the time until he got married
On 31 July 1954, he married his sweetheart Mary Louise Flores. His marriage was beautiful and always saying he loved her. They had a daughter on 17 June 1955, Marie Antoinette Rios.
He worked for Kelly AFB from 1956 to retirement of 1987 as Inventory Management Specialist. Always wore a tie.
He loved to watch Dallas play, reading his bible, yardwork, dominoes, organizing or be on his cell phone.

My Dad taught me to be passionate on what you do. Do it with pride and don't cut corners.
Your faith in God and Lord Jesus will keep you on the right path and do not waver.
He lived a simple life filled with God's presence.
