Antonio G. Alvarez, born on September 6, 1931 in Alice, Texas was called to be with the Lord on February 1, 2018 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Lazaro A. Alvarez Jr. and great granddaughter, Lazaria Alvarez. He is survived by his wife, Maria Refugia Alvarez; children, Antonio E. Alvarez Jr. (Mary Lou), Lazaro E. Alvarez (Sylvia), Diane A. Gomez (Federico) and Mary Jane Garza; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Maria Flores and Marcela Gasca. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz St. San Antonio, Texas 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2
