Anthony L Olvera

Anthony “Tony” Olvera, our beloved father, passed away suddenly in San Antonio, TX. on April 19, 2023. He was dearly loved and will be missed terribly by all who knew him and his larger-than-life personality.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Jalde Olvera and nephew, Roland (Shorty) Cervera. He is survived by his four children: Stacey Olvera, Laura Olvera, Jacob Olvera (Madaleine), and Richard Olvera (Lynda).

He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Jane Olvera, Gracie Aguayo, Susan Morante (David), and Rodger Olvera (Christina). He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was always someone you could count on, a jokester by nature, and had a heart bigger than his personality. He always put family first and loved his children unconditionally and was a caring and compassionate father. The void he leaves is irreplaceable. Our hearts ache but we find peace in knowing he is resting in perpetual light with his beloved mother and nephew.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino-Palo Alto starting at 5:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023, followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM. A service will be held Wednesday May 3, 2023, at 10:00AM and burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
