Annette Lucienne Faulkner was born in Metz, France on August 6, 1927 and passed away on April 23, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. Annette worked for the U. S. Army in Metz, France in 1945 at the U. S. Army Headquarters as an interpeter of German, French and English; in 1946 with the U. S. Army as a secretary and interpretor for the Mayor of Metz;1947 at the U. S. Military Cemetery in France, as a secretary; 1948 at the U. S. Quartermaster Depot in Metz as a property and supply supevisor; 1961-63 U. S. Army Communications in France as an accounting clerk and the U. S. Army Commissary as an administrative assistant. She moved to San Antonio, TX in 1964. From 1980-1990 she volunteered at Edgewood High School and Memorial High School, assisting with the French classes. She is survived by family members in France and San Antonio. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with a Liturgical service following at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mystic Park Rehabilitation, Trisun Care Center and Lighthouse Hospice for their compassionate care.
