Anne Nelson

Anne Nelson, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016. She was born in Baldwyn MS. on September 3rd, 1950.

Anne worked most of her life as a Gardner. She expressed her creativity and love of beauty through painting as a teen, and in growing things from the earth as adult. She brought that same love and creativity to the kitchen in the meals that she prepared. Her home reflected her love of Texas and its rustic beauty and she loved finding treasures in junk stores specializing in vintage things. Her world was filled with the love of her family and dear friends.

Anne was the second of four children born to Sarah Nelson Villarreal and Wheeler Laird (deceased) and she is survived by her mother and step-father, ret. Col. Ysidro Villarreal, her son, Adrian Romo, wife Tiffany, and three grandchildren, Weston, Lauren and David Romo. She is also survived by her brother, Wheeler Laird, her sisters Libby Overholt, and Meg Hock, husband George, and children Earl and Kayla Hock.

Memorial Service will be held at 11am Monday October 24th, 2016 at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 518 Pike Road, 78209.
