Anna Marie Williams known to many as “Mammy” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born in Travis, Texas on September 3, 1921. Mammy attended school up to 6th grade because she was needed to pick cotton on the family farm. Mammy worked for 50 years as a waitress at Earl Abel’s Restaurant. She loved reading, puzzles, traveling, pets, and was known as a hard worker. She was a loving mother and friends who will be dearly missed.
Mammy was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Frances Mueck, her twin brother, Otto; her siblings, Herman Mueck, Joe Mueck, Albert Mueck, Martha Burkeen, Bertha House and Matilda Senkel; and her husband of 24 years, Jesse James Williams who was the love of her life. She is survived by her son, Lewis E. Williams and his wife, Phyllis; her step-granddaughters, Angela Rose Waller (David) and Shannon Marie Smith; her brothers, Steve Mueck and his wife, Ruth, and George Mueck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 10th from 5-7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 11th at 9:00 am at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
