Known to her family as Ann, she lived a life marked by resilience and a deep devotion to God and her family. From her early days in Waterbury to her later years in San Antonio, she carried with her a warmth and kindness that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Health challenges slowed her down, but she never missed her favorite show, Law and Order, her favorite snack of Honey Nut Cheerios, or asking for her lottery ticket every Wednesday and Saturday.
Her family will miss her infectious cackle, homemade lasagna, love of the family pets, and endless stories about when she was a young woman about town.
She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Tarantino, and his wife Monica; her nephew, Anthony Demaio, and his wife Cathy; her grandson, Gabriel Tarantino; and her younger brother, Joseph Steponvich.
Ann is preceded in death by her brother, James "Jimmy" Stephonvich, sister, Joan DeMaio, brother-in-law, Alex S. Demaio, niece, Anne Marie Langello, and nephew, Dominic Demaio.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, located at 8500 Cross Mountain Trail, San Antonio, TX 78255. The rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately after, with a reception to be held afterward.
