Anna Maria Sandoval Garcia, 88, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on October 2, 2020. She was born on February 23, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas where she lived all her life. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, David S. Garcia and by her parents, Juan R. Sandoval and Hermelinda Zepeda Sandoval.
Anna Maria was a Federal employee working Civil Service at Brooks, Lackland, and Kelly AFB. She retired in 1985 after 33 years of service. After retirement, she filled her time with taking care of her husband, volunteering, gardening, and arts and crafts. She loved her flowers and her garden. She also loved to paint, often displaying her artwork at local events, including the Starving Artist Show, and venues such as Blue Star Arts Complex.
Anna Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Frank T. Garcia, her sons, Frank S. Garcia (Margaret) and Jacob Garcia; her daughter-in-law, Amelia Garcia; her granddaughters, Brittney Garcia and Megan Garcia; her brother, John Manuel Sandoval; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the services at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to only 50 people in the building. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.
