Anita P. Peterson

Anita P. Peterson passed away March 11, 2011. She was born July 8, 1930 in Laredo, Texas to Abel and Jesusa Pena. Anita was a computer programmer for the US government for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, toll painting, and ceramics. Anita was a great cook, loved to bake and was an amazing cake decorator. She loved her family deeply and was extremely proud of her grandchildren. Anita was well loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Peter J. Peterson. Survivors include her children: Patricia Bolos, Linda Bartlett, James Peterson, Steven Peterson, Denise Morris and Diane Anderson; sisters, Adeline Barrientes and Alicia Solis; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 3:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to King of Kings Lutheran Church, 13888 Dreamwood,San Antonio, Texas 78233.
