She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Alex Cruz; siblings Melba & husband Dr. Cesar Termulo, Sr., Teresita Mapa, Ike Mapa & wife Jenny, Arlene & husband Virgil Pascual, and Pinky & husband Dr. Ed Hesita; nephews and nieces Dr. Cesar Termulo, Jr. & family, Cynthia Hoge & family, Minell Saunders & family, Michelle Martinez & family, Michael, Nathan, Rachel, & Gabby Mapa, Dr. Abby Jerome & family, Janie Alvarez & family, and Caleb & Jacob Hesita.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anabelle, her loving pet-poodle Sammy, and parents Victorino & Teodora Mapa.
Angie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and was an elementary school teacher in her native country, the Philippines. She immigrated to the United States in 1975 and worked as a preschool teacher, bookkeeper, and later on as a homemaker. Angie was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. During her active years, she was involved in church ministries such as adult bible study, ACTS retreat, and Divine Mercy Cenacle.
Angie had a lively personality. She loved fiercely, cared deeply, and was unwavering in standing up for what she believed in. Her tenacious and resourceful nature complemented her kindness and generosity that helped many. She is affectionately remembered today and always.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, TX 78232, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Rd., San Antonio, TX 78258. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, TX 78266.
